Position Title: Customer Service Representative (Instrument Repair and Sales)

Kal-Tone is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative. This position does not require the ability to play or work on guitars, although some knowledge is helpful. The right person for this position will be able to communicate effectively with Kal-Tone’s customers in the shop, on the phone, and online about repairs, instruments, and day-to-day workshop business. In addition, the position will offer the right person the opportunity to assist in the guitar repair department, learning the basic skills necessary for careful handling of Kal-Tone customers’ instruments. Other duties will include managing the repair schedule, purchasing retail and parts inventories, selling Kal-Tone instruments and accessories, coordinating events and social media campaigns, giving a weekly tour, and a daily schedule of light cleaning and shop maintenance.  

Qualifications:

  • high school diploma or GED

  • experience in retail and/or customer service

  • strong interpersonal communication skills

  • organized and detail oriented

  • available between 10am-6pm Monday-Friday, and occasional evenings/weekends

Pay and Benefits:   $10/hr or higher to start, depending on experience.  40 hrs per week desired.  While we are hiring for an entry level position, we hope that with time, we will be able to give more responsibilities and pay to the right person who will be self-motivated to grow with the company.
